A small studio,
deliberately so.
BestDid is an independent software studio operating from San Diego, California and Accra, Ghana, registered as Bestdid Technology Ltd. We design and engineer digital products for the teams we partner with, and publish a small line of products under our own name. We are intentionally small so that we can stay intentional.

What we believe.
A short list of the ideas we keep returning to. They are not universal laws — just the ones that make our work feel like ours.

Taste over trend
We prefer the interfaces that won’t embarrass their makers in five years. That usually means fewer moving parts, better typography, and a long look at what already works.

Fewer things, finished
We would rather ship one product properly than three halfway. Quality is not an optional polish phase — it’s the whole brief.

Work that ages well
Boring technology where it counts. Typed code that reads cleanly. Documentation written for the team that inherits it, including us.

Honest craft
We don’t over-sell; we don’t under-deliver. If something is the wrong move, we say so — even when it costs us the project.
Practice
How the studio is set up.
BestDid is a small, tight-knit team — by design. Most projects are delivered by two to four people, end to end. A single thread of accountability, from first conversation to post- launch care.
We work in weekly rhythms. Demos on Friday. Written updates in between. No account managers, no handoffs; you talk to the people making the thing.
Our practice is divided between projects we ship with partners and our own product line (BDShield, BD 2FA, XWipe, and a handful of smaller tools). The two halves sharpen each other — products teach us what it feels like to be the user, client and partner work keeps us learning new domains.
When we aren’t coding we are reading, writing, or buying too many typefaces.

Across two cities.
The studio operates from two desks: San Diego on California’s Pacific coast, and Accra on Ghana’s Atlantic one. Together our hours cover the working day across the Americas, Europe, and Africa, and we collaborate with teams around the world.
